MAVERICK CHRISTIANITY LESSON #666 (Or, WHY YOU CAN'T VOTE EVIL OUT)

Sadly, it's because the vast majority of self-professed "Christians" have never even once read The Holy Bible in its entirety that they still believe they can "vote out evil". In fact, the vast majority of "Christians" have never once even read the NEW Testament from Matthew 1 through Revelation 22. 

.

The Christian will tell you in a heartbeat that "The Bible is the Word of God", and yet they rarely find time to read what God has said. They can find time to play video games and watch the newest slop at Netflix, but somehow there's just never enough hours in the day to find time for the The Holy Scriptures. It's pathetic!

.

There isn't enough time for the Word of God, and yet a great many Christians will find time to cast votes in every election, thinking that "THIS TIME will be different! THIS TIME we are going to vote the evil out and get some good people in government!"

WRONG!!

.

If Christians would merely study their precious Bible, they'd understand why nothing - least of all voting (smh!) - can possibly save the country or the world. The results of voting can never supersede the Word of God, which says this:

Then the devil, taking Him [Jesus] up on a high mountain, showed Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said to Him, “All this authority I will give You, and their glory; for this has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I wish. Therefore, if You will worship before me, all will be Yours.”

~ Luke 4:5-7

And this...

We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one.

~ 1 John 5:19

Am I gettin' through to ya, fella? satan has temporarily been given control of "this world" and he gives places of authority and influence to whomever he wishes. And THE WHOLE WORLD is under his (temporary) governmental control. It is a Biblical fact that politicians are not working for their constituents; they are working for satan.

.

But, yeah, sure, keep on voting if it makes you feel better, even though voting is utterly pointless. Instead of reading through the ballot and wasting time in line at your local polling place, why don't you spend that time with your nose in The Holy Bible? It would be a much more valuable use of your God-given time. 

.

Your vote is completely irrelevant. Why? 

Because our Savior is coming soon, and He doesn't need your vote!
